I have a knot on the side of my left breast?
Last night I was laying on my right side and I just happened to press on the left side of my left breast and I felt a small knot. There’s nothing visible to the skin and you can’t see it. It was tender when I pressed it. I do have Stretch Marks in that area. I felt for it later that night and couldn’t find it. Tonight I felt it so I left my husband fell. He felt the knot and it was tender when he pressed on it. I have to press pretty far/hard to feel it. I’m 26, non smoker and no family history of breast cancer. I have my yearly physical next month so I was going to let my gyno know then. Is it possible to feel something like this and it not be cancer? Thanks.
I have felt a few other small knots like this right under a stretch mark.
It is very rare for someone as young as you are to get breast cancer, but not unknown.
Most breast lumps aren’t cancerous, and most cancerous breast lumps don’t hurt – most people who are diagnosed with breast cancer have felt no pain or tenderness. Many women have naturally lumpy breasts.
I suggest you monitor it between now and your physical next month, and if it’s still there report it then.
